Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox won a scholarship award to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. Her budget was supplemented by a stipend to students and part-time jobs. Lennox did not feel happy with the quality of her skills compared to the other students at Royal Academy and began looking to find alternative routes. Lennox started her professional career in 1976 as a member of the group called Dragons Playground. The group broke up prior to their appearance in I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. Between 1977 and the year 1980 she was the vocalist in The Tourists. A British pop group. In this band, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they will create their own group, the Eurythmics the pop group. Lennox went on to record her solo debut album Diva. It came out in 1992. The album had a tremendous success both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album came out in October of 2014. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera, a collection four piano improvisations, was released by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. The E.P. is the companion album of her artwork in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now, I'll let You go... It's also her first independently released album. Medusa a studio album which was released in 1995, features songs that are re-imagined from her best-loved songs, including the No MoreI Still Love Yous (and A Whiter Shade of Pale). Her solo catalog includes six studio albums, as well as one compilation album to her credit.
